Empowering Communities, Building Digital Resilience: ISOC-IL’s Safer Internet Month 2025

Throughout February 2025, the Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) intensified its ongoing commitment to building a safer, more inclusive digital environment through a range of community initiatives. The month’s efforts centered particularly on one of the groups most vulnerable to online risks: senior citizens. By equipping seniors and volunteers with essential digital skills, raising awareness about emerging online threats, and closing digital gaps across diverse populations, ISOC-IL took proactive steps to foster trust, resilience, and digital confidence among Israel’s internet users.

2024 Internet Safety Report by ISOC-IL: Significant Increase in Social Media Account Hijacking and Cyber Threats

Safer Internet Month in Arab Society: Digital Safety Workshops for Seniors in Arab Communities

ISOC-IL Presents Research and Policy Brief on the Proposed “Digital Communication With Public Bodies” Legislation to Israeli Lawmakers

The newly proposed ‘Digital Communication With Public Bodies’ legislation would require public bodies to provide services digitally, aiming to  streamline bureaucracy, save time, and make services more accessible. On February 3, 2025, the legislative committee reconvened to brief legislators on the proposal, with Dr. Asaf Wiener, VP of Research and Public Policy at ISOC-IL presenting ISOC-IL’s insights and key recommendations to ensure the law is drafted and implemented  in a way that prioritizes accessibility, privacy, and citizens’ rights.
