Dr. Sharon Bar-Ziv, President

Dr. Sharon Bar-Ziv is a lecturer and faculty member at the Sapir College Law School. She specializes in the interface between law and technology, lecturing and researching in the fields of information law, intellectual property law, innovation and entrepreneurship. She has been a member of the Sapir College Law School faculty for a decade, and for the last few years has been a lecturer at Hebrew University, Haifa University, the College of Management and the College of Law and Business.

Dr. Bar-Ziv’s articles have been published in prominent scholarly journals and she is a frequent presentor at conferences in her fields of expertise both in Israel and abroad.

In recent years, she initiated the establishment of the Legal Clinic for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where outstanding students provide legal services to budding entrepreneurs.

Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree (LL.B) in Law from The Haifa University Law School (2004) with a specialty in Law and Technology. She qualified to practice law in 2005 with a Master’s degree (LL.M with honors) in Law from the Haifa University Law School as part of the direct PhD program (2007). She holds a Ph.D in Law (2013), supervised by Prof. Niva Elkin-Koren.

Alongside her academic endeavors, Sharon also serves as an expert consultant for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), advising on issues related to law, information and innovation.
