Disinformation Resilience Israel

Disinformation — deliberately spreading falsehoods — undermines trust in institutions, distorts informed decision-making, and worsens social divisions. In Israel, these risks are heightened by extensive social media use, repeated state-backed campaigns by adversarial actors, and ongoing conflict since October 2023. The Disinformation Resilience Israel (DRI) project, funded by the European Union, aims to develop a comprehensive response to online misinformation and disinformation in Israel. 

The project’s goal is to strengthen the resilience of Israeli society to counter misinformation and disinformation by enhancing the fact-finding capacity of media and civil society organizations, raising public awareness and media literacy, and advancing research. It engages journalists, educators, tech entrepreneurs, activists, and the broader public to foster a more informed, critical, and inclusive information ecosystem.
