Background of the decision
The decision to update the unit price for registration was made after a discussion that examined the budget data compared with the anticipated costs of operating the infrastructure and management of the domain names registry. At the end of the discussion, the Board of Trustees reached the conclusion that a price update was necessary in order to ensure that the guiding principle of operating the .IL and ישראל. domains optimally – in a safe, stable, and solid manner, could be preserved.
