Serving tens of thousands of resellers and registrars worldwide, Tucows is a key player in the domain registration industry.
Israel’s domain registry operates under the widely adopted “Registry-Registrar” model, a common global standard for managing domain registrations. In this framework, the registry is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and database essential for the operation of the country code top-level domains (ccTLDs). Registrars, accredited and overseen by the registry, handle the registration and management of domain names on behalf of registrants (domain holders).
With the addition of Tucows, the number of accredited registrars offering domain registration and management services for Israel’s ccTLD .il has now risen to 14.
