This page presents data and statistics on reports and requests for assistance received by the Israel Internet Association’s Internet Safety Hotline during 2025.
The Internet Safety Hotline serves as a first responder for people in Israel who experience online abuse and other online harms. It provides information, practical guidance, and tools to help people protect themselves online and respond effectively to harmful incidents. Where appropriate, the Hotline draws on its Trusted Flagger status and established relationships with leading global platforms and online services to submit urgent reports and content-removal requests directly to them, helping affected users obtain a faster and more effective response.
In addition to responding to individual reports, the Hotline monitors harmful and emerging online trends, alerts the public and relevant service providers, publishes cyber-threat reviews, and develops practical resources that help people protect themselves and make safer choices online. Information collected through its work also provides insight into evolving threats and supports ISOC-IL’s policy work and broader efforts to strengthen online trust, safety, and digital resilience.
The data on this page can be explored by population sector, gender, type of online harm, and the platform, service, or online environment in which the incident occurred. These findings offer insight into the online harms and safety and security threats encountered by Israeli internet users, and underscore the Hotline’s vital role in strengthening online trust and safety and helping people protect themselves and their communities online.
About the Internet Safety Hotline
The Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) operates the Internet Safety Hotline to provide people in Israel with individualized assistance, practical guidance, information, and tools for responding to online abuse, threats, and other harmful activity.
The Hotline serves as a first point of assistance for people facing online threats, impersonation, extortion, account compromise, harassment, and other forms of abuse. It helps users document incidents, navigate reporting processes, protect their accounts and personal information, prevent further harm, and identify appropriate next steps. Through its trusted relationships with major platforms and online services and its recognized Trusted Flagger status, the Hotline can also use dedicated escalation channels to submit urgent reports and content-removal requests involving abusive, harmful, malicious, or illegal content and activity.
Though ISOC-IL is an independent, non-governmental organization, in relevant cases the Hotline cooperates and exchanges relevant information, where appropriate, with public authorities and law-enforcement bodies, including the Israel National Cyber Directorate and the National Online Child Protection Bureau. This cooperation can help improve and expedite responses to people targeted by criminal, abusive, or hostile actors online.
Through direct assistance, trusted reporting channels, practical safety resources, trend analysis, and cooperation with platforms and public authorities, the Internet Safety Hotline advances ISOC-IL’s commitment to an Internet experience that is safe, secure, and protects people online.
