Advancing Digital Inclusion for Arab Society in Israel
Periodic Surveys and Research Studies
ISOC-IL performs periodic surveys and research studies to assess the digital gaps and trends in online usage that characterize the Arab minority in Israel.
We periodically publish reports in Hebrew and Arabic that assess and monitor the degree to which Israel’s government websites and services are made accessible to Arab society, providing a solid yardstick by which to measure the progress Israel has made and continues to make in bridging the digital divide in Arab society:
Policy papers such as Internet in Israel’s Arab Society (2018), Quantifying Inclusion & Online Safety (2024) and the more recent ‘AI Usage Patterns in Arab Society in Israel’ (2025) assess digital gaps and trends in online usage characterizing the Arab minority in Israel.
Policy Advocacy
ISOC-IL regularly participates in Parliamentary committee meetings at the Israeli Knesset, advocating for equal representation and opportunity for all segments of the population.
We present research, policy recommendations and position papers that support decision makers with expert data and insights to inform the policy development process. One prominent example: “Promoting Internet Infrastructure for Minorities in Israel”, an ISOC-IL position paper submitted to the Ministry of Communications.
