About ISOC-IL

The Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) is a non-profit organization managing two critical components of Israel’s internet infrastructure: the national domain name registries (ccTLDs) “.IL” and “.ישראל” , as well as the Israeli Internet Exchange (IIX).
ISOC-IL is designated as the operator of a critical computerized system under the Public Bodies Security Arrangements Law, 1998, and operates under the guidance of Israel’s National Cyber Directorate.
In addition, ISOC-IL works to advance safe, open, and innovative internet to benefit the Israeli public. Alongside managing these critical infrastructures, ISOC-IL promotes responsible internet policy, raises awareness of digital issues, and supports Israel’s internet community.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our Information Security team and enhance the security posture of our critical infrastructures and digital assets.

Role Description

As a Cyber Security Analyst at ISOC-IL, you will play a central role in safeguarding the organization’s critical infrastructures, ensuring business continuity, and defending its digital assets. The role involves planning, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security systems and policies, as well as participating in incident response activities. The position offers a hybrid work model (office and remote work), subject to organizational policy and operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support vulnerability analysis of systems and applications.
  • Evaluate, define, and operate security solutions such as firewalls, endpoint protection, log analysis systems, traffic recording, and various security tools deployed within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze security events and alerts.
  • Participate in incident response (IR) activities.
  • Support internal information security audits and assessments.
  • Contribute to the secure development lifecycle (SDLC) by implementing security best practices in system development.
  • Provide basic training and awareness programs for employees on information security.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices, and assist in adapting solutions to organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across the organization on security-related matters.
  • Assist in preparing periodic reports on the organization’s information security status.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in information security, OR completion of recognized information security courses, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or another relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and risk management concepts.
  • Familiarity with security controls and protection mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, communication systems, and network security principles.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to analyze logs from security systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Fast learner with a genuine interest in professional growth within the cybersecurity domain.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Strong proficiency in Hebrew and English (reading and writing).
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, maintaining clear communication and collaboration remotely.

Advantages

  • Practical experience in information security operations, with emphasis on integration, monitoring, and incident handling .
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with open-source security tools
  • Completion of professional certifications or training courses in cybersecurity.
  • Relevant military background in computer science, communications, or cybersecurity.
  • Proven project experience combining technical knowledge and practical implementation.
