On April 24, 2025, the Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL), in collaboration with the Elementor Israel Community and the Press for Web Conference, held a successful and thought-provoking webinar titled “The Future of the Digital Experience in Israel.”
Yoram Hacohen, CEO of ISOC-IL, and Ortal Maldonado, Manager of the .il and ישראל. Domain Registry, opened the session with a deep dive into the role of domain names in asserting digital independence, and as an expression of identity and community in the online space. They emphasized the value of domain names as assets that allow users digital sovereignty and stability in an ever-shifting digital landscape dominated by powerful online platforms and the unpredictable effects of artificial intelligence.
They also explored the cultural and linguistic significance of Israeli “.il” and “ישראל.” domains in our changing digital ecosystem, explaining how these domains reinforce the presence of the Hebrew language and Israeli identity on the global web.
UX expert Tal Florentin joined the webinar to contribute insights on the evolving role of AI in web development, highlighting how emerging technologies are reshaping the rules of design, marketing, and digital product development.
